About two miles of a busy road between Dravosburg and West Mifflin will be repaved, beginning this Friday (July 15), weather permitting.
A district spokesman for the state Department of Transportation said crews from Lindy Paving Inc. will remove old pavement, patch concrete, repair the shoulders, improve drainage and replace guide rails on state-maintained portions of Pennsylvania Avenue, Skyline Drive and Goldstrom Avenue between Ravine Street in Dravosburg and Mellon Street in West Mifflin.
Traffic will be restricted to one alternating lane during weekdays, as necessary, during the paving project, and weekend work may occur from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., as needed, PennDOT said.
The project is expected to conclude mid-September of 2016.
