In case you missed it ...

Last Friday on "Two Rivers, 30 Minutes" we talked to Tracey Provident and Fran Trimpey of the Center for Victims. Formerly known as "The Center for Victims of Violent Crime," it adopted its present name with it merged with McKeesport's Womansplace.

The largest and best known victims' advocacy organization in Allegheny County, the center works with police, law enforcement, healthcare providers, schools and other agencies to assist about 15,000 victims of crime each year.

Its services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, an emergency shelter and transitional housing, crime victim and witness assistance, counseling and assistance for abused women.

"Two Rivers, 30 Minutes" airs at 9:30 a.m. Fridays on WEDO (810) in McKeesport, and is also available as a free podcast from iTunes and Stitcher.
